Second-hand women's shoes
15 pairs of shoes available, mostly in very good condition, between €10 and €110.
A pre-owned pair is judged first by its sole, not by its upper. Its wear is uneven and tells you how the previous owner walked: a sole worn down on one side only means the shoe has lost its shape in that direction and will keep doing so. It is the most reliable indicator, more so than the state of the leather. Then check the inside at the heel, how firm the heel counter is - if it sags, the foot will no longer be held - and on leather the flex creases, which do not disappear. Dry leather can be nourished and rescued; a deep crack cannot. Shoe sizes are not standardised between brands and between models: for a pre-owned pair, measuring the insole is safer than the size stated.
