Second-hand women's jeans
26 pairs of jeans available, from XS to L, mostly in very good condition, between €10 and €50.
Jeans are the piece where second-hand is technically better than new: denim improves with wear, and a patina earned through wear cannot be reproduced industrially. The key precaution concerns elastane, very common in women's cuts: its spring is lost over time, and once lost the cut never comes back - a stretch pair of jeans that has gone slack stays slack, whatever the wash. Stretch the fabric to check that it springs back. The other two checks are done against the light: the crotch, where the fabric thins before giving way, and the pocket bags. Finally, watch out for size systems, which coexist in this category: inches for American brands, French sizes elsewhere, with no stable equivalence.
