Second-hand women's coats and jackets
79 coats available, from XS to XL, mostly in very good condition, between €10 and €220.
A pre-owned coat or jacket is judged first on what is expensive to repair. Test the fastening along its whole run before anything else: a specific zip is hard to replace like for like, and replacing it often costs more than the piece. Then check the lining under the arms, which gives way before the outer fabric - it can be replaced, unlike fabric made shiny by an iron that was too hot. On wool, look for moth damage in the inside seams and not on the surface. On a technical piece, appearance tells you nothing about condition: it is the heat-sealed tape inside the seams and the water-repellent treatment that age, and a garment that looks impeccable may have lost its waterproofing. A water-repellent treatment can be reactivated; a delaminated membrane cannot.
