Sandro often numbers its sizes from 0 to 4: a 1 is roughly an S, a 2 an M. The cuts are narrow, so plan on a size up. On a pre-owned dress, first check the back fastening, zip or buttons, which is the main stress point, then the waist seams. On fluid fabrics, look for pulled threads against the light, and on a lined piece make sure the lining has not shrunk differently from the outer fabric - that is what makes a hem twist.
