Zara holds a particular place in this category: the brand produces a lot and renews quickly, so a large share of what circulates pre-owned has been worn very little - you regularly find shirts in almost new condition. It does call for more attention than elsewhere to intrinsic quality, which varies a great deal from one collection to another, and the composition is the best guide. The sizing is known to be narrow and inconsistent from one piece to the next: better to trust the flat measurements than the label. On a pre-owned piece, the usual weak points are the assembly seams, sometimes light, and the buttons. On fluid fabrics, viscose or light polyester, look for pulled threads against the light - they are invisible from the front.
