ba&sh is a French brand with a fluid womenswear wardrobe, recognisable by its discreet prints, soft fabrics and slightly bohemian cuts. It is a brand very present second-hand and its pieces stay wearable for several years, because the style relies on the cut rather than a seasonal pattern. Sizes are numbered from 0 to 4 rather than given in letters, a 1 being roughly an S and a 2 an M, and the cuts are roomy: it is one of the few brands in this segment where taking your usual size is generally enough. On a pre-owned piece, fluid fabrics - viscose, silk, blends - need examining against the light, where tiny snags and pulled threads show, while they are invisible from the front.
