Hollister belongs to the same group as Abercrombie & Fitch and shares its wardrobe of logo-led American basics, with an identity strongly marked by the 2000s - which explains its comeback second-hand today. Sizing is the main point to watch: the brand runs small, often by a full size, and gives US sizes. Going up from your usual size is the rule rather than the exception. On a pre-owned piece, wear shows first on the logo prints and embroidery, which are what identify the brand: a screen print that cracks is irreversible, embroidery lasts much longer. Then check the neckline of T-shirts, which does not recover its shape once stretched, and the ribbed edges on sweatshirts.
