Liu Jo is an Italian womenswear ready-to-wear brand, focused on worked denim and dressier pieces with careful finishes. Its appeal second-hand lies in the quality of the denim fabrics and in the fact that models change little from one season to the next. The sizing is fitted and follows Italian sizes - so offset by about two sizes from the French system, an Italian 42 being roughly a French 38 - and that is the brand's main trap second-hand. On a pre-owned piece of denim, check the crotch and the pocket bags against the light, and the spring of the elastane, which never comes back once lost: that is decisive on such fitted cuts. On dressier pieces, check the lining and the metal trims, often specific.
