Second-hand Fred Perry
13 pieces available, from S to XL, mostly in very good condition, between €19 and €65.
Fred Perry is a brand with strong cultural roots, born from tennis and adopted by several generations of British subcultures. Its identity rests on two things: the embroidered laurel wreath, and the contrast tipping on the collar and cuffs. Its second-hand pieces are interesting because the historic models change little - the M12, the twin-tipped polo, has been made for decades with the same construction. The sizing is fitted and follows British sizes; on polos, the cut sits closer to the body than that of sports brands. On a pre-owned piece, what decides the condition is the tipping: a contrast stripe that has bled or stretched gives away a bad wash and cannot be fixed. Then check the embroidery of the wreath and the ribbed collar, which loses its shape before the rest.
