Puma T-shirts are split between archive-inspired reissues and training pieces, and the two sometimes carry the same name without having the same construction: the label and the shape of the big cat, which has changed over the decades, settle the question. The brand gives European sizes, which makes it simpler to judge than American brands, and runs fairly fitted. On a pre-owned piece, the neckline decides most of it - once stretched, it does not come back - and the print comes just after: a screen print that cracks or whose edges lift is irreversible, unlike embroidery. On synthetic fabrics, look for areas made shiny by rubbing, which cannot be rescued, and beware of ingrained odours.
